My name is Dave Longo. I’ve spent many years performing as a pianist in a wide range of settings — private parties, weddings, corporate events, and several major cruise lines. I’ve enjoyed playing in group settings, but I’ve always been especially drawn to the creative freedom that comes with performing as a soloist.
My approach to the piano was shaped early on. My first lessons were unusually unorthodox, and because of that, my understanding of the instrument developed in a way that was anything but traditional. That early experience sparked a creative path I’ve followed ever since, and it continues to influence how I play and how I teach.
A large part of my time has been devoted to one‑on‑one instruction, both in my private studio and online. The satisfaction that comes from watching a student grow — from that first moment of “getting it” to a deeper appreciation of the art — is something I never take for granted. There’s a real chemistry in those moments, and it’s one of the reasons I continue to teach.
