Open Up!
When used tastefully, open triads can make a beginner sound like a pro. Is your current skill level feel limited with just triads (three-note chords)? Rather than placing any judgement on a modest amount of experience, you can create music with what you already know. Remember, you don’t have to know every word in the English language in order to be able to speak English. Likewise, you don’t need to know everything about chords in order to make music. Take those triads and start opening them up and you’ll find yourself opening up to greater musical possibilities!
