A Little “Tart”

This chord voicing, especially when applied to a minor chord quality, has some nice dissonance due to that half step at its center. It lends itself to smooth voicing leading in the context of a II-V or II-V- I chord progression. This is a chord voicing that’s been a pro’s favorite for decades.
