A Tangy “Topper”

Your chord is a dominant 7th and the melody note shares the same name as the chord’s root. This upper structure triad is a nice way to present it with a bit of “zest.” You’ll want to make a habit of keeping your “radar” up as you find more and more places in which you can apply this one.
