The first video session of my Sneak Peeks series, which is over one hour long, was quite popular from the start, I’m privileged to say. This session, which exceeds one hour in duration, covers a whole lot more than just chord voicings, of course, and what we have here is certainly not meant to serve as anything close to a replacement of the program (anyone who misconstrues this to be so is missing out on quite a bit!.
That said, some of the people who had already taken advantage of the program asked if I had any intention of creating a chord chart illustrating the chord voicings used in Sneak Peeks #1 so that they could have them for easy reference. Well, it’s here. The most essential chord voicing structures utilized in that video session are now available. You can either print the jazz chords pdf out or simply prop up that iPad of yours (if you have one) on your piano stand and see them all in front of you. This will serve you well as you will have them available for easy reference as you transpose them to various keys and incorporate them into your own favorite songs.

Although this chord voicing chart stands on its own, I decided to take things a little further with this. I actually created a video session (approximately 13 minutes in duration) showing my hands playing these voicings in the order they appear in the chart, along with a little commentary. Sneak Peeks #1 is the first of an 8-part series. Actually, it is the only video session of this collection that includes only the keyboard animation. Sneak Peeks #2-8 also include the video of my hands on the actual piano keyboard I was playing on. Even without that video portion included, interestingly enough (due to its content), it still remains one of the more popular learning tools in our store. A combination of the session and this pdf/video duo is likely to prove to be rewarding should you decide to expose yourself to them and follow through with suggestions provided.
